Understanding an Estimate

UNDERSTANDING YOUR ESTIMATE

When a customer first calls us we input their information; contact information, the square footage of the house, i.e., bedrooms, bathrooms, living, dining and or family rooms, frequency of service desired, i.e., weekly, biweekly, monthly, a one-time service, etc. All of this information is input into a computer module that gives us an idea, an estimate of what it will cost us to service a clients home.

It calculates everything, all the operating costs that would be expended for the servicing the client's home. It takes an array of variables into consideration, those things that are necessary to service that home, to the satisfaction of the client.

What does it calculate - Anyway?

The size of the home(square footage), number of rooms, levels of the home, amounts of cleaning supplies we'll need, additional chemicals for carpet, oven, refrigerators, etc. It calculates how much time, hours and minutes, will be needed for our maids to service that clients home, the cost of wages, insurance, payroll taxes, gasoline expenditures, and travel times.

Only an Estimate...?

Unfortunately, it's not as perfect as we would like, but all things considered the module is pretty close in estimating what it would take to clean a clients home satisfactorily with all the associated costs included. What it can't determine is the lay out of the home, how many pot shelves and ceiling fans there are, whether or not the client has a few or many knick-knacks, how much, if any accumulated dust, dirt or grime there will be in any of those hard to reach places like shelving, stoves, baseboards, window sills, etc. If there are pets how much pet hair has accumulated around the home; on the bedding and the furniture, etc. Other considerations, which a computer module cannot estimate is whether or not there will be laundry, ironing, etc.

What if you NEED, or YOU WANT more time?

If these sort of cleaning needs arise, outside and in addition to our estimated pricing, we simply allow the client to determine whether or not they wish us to continue and complete our cleaning. The cost of this service is available at a flat rate of $25.00 per hour, per maid.

EXAMPLE:

Number of Maids

Hours of Service

Cost per Hour

Hour Break-Down

Your Cost

1 MAID

1 HOUR EXTRA

= $32.50

1 MAID = 1:00 HOUR

$32.50

2 MAIDZ

1 HOUR EXTRA

= $32.50

2 MAIDS =:30 MINUTES EACH

$32.50

3 MAIDZ

1 HOUR EXTRA

= $32.50

3 MAIDZ =:20 MINUTES EACH

$32.50

EXPLANATION: In the example above you'll notice that the only thing that changes is the number of maids. The hours of service remain the same, but the number of maids servicing the home divide that time by the hours of required or requested service time.

ANOTHER OPTION:

What we always attempt to accomplish for our clients is to keep their cost down, while maintaining a high level quality and customer satisfaction. What many of our clients opt to do is sign up for regular service (shameless plug, I apologise), and have us put the high and low dusting, i.e., ceiling fans, pot shelves, knick-knacks, baseboards, window sills, refrigerator tops, oven hoods, etc., on our rotational cleaning schedule. This helps maintain a lower cost, while at the same time insuring the whole house gets cleaned to your satisfaction - on a regular basis.
